I grew up surrounded by music, but I wouldn't say choral music (or composing) was my first love. Mostly, I spent hours playing classical, pop covers, and hymn arrangements on the piano. It was only until after graduating from college last year that I began trying to create my own versions of piano pieces and dream about producing something one day. That morphed into attempting a choral composition (almost by accident), and I suddenly found myself in love with writing music, with the process of creation. My brother Ben (a rather successful composer himself) also played a huge role in introducing me to the world of choral composition and encouraging me forward. I'm still very new, but hope that some day I can create a piece (or two) that brings joy and hope to the listener.
