Joel has loved music from a young age, and with the encouragement of his 8th grade teacher, started composing when he was 14. Since then he’s done some theory courses on his own, and also some classes with Wendell Glick. Besides music, his interests include reading, travel, philosophical discussions, and relationships. Ultimately, rather than focusing solely on music as the end goal, he hopes to use music as a soul language to convey a message of truth in his composing.
