Yolanda is currently an undergraduate at Wilfrid Laurier University in her third year of a Bachelor’s of Music Degree in Composition and a part time music teacher at a local Christian school. She is a graduate of the Teachers’ Apprenticeship Program at Faith Builders Educational Programs (2019). As teacher, she’s had the privilege of doing music with people--little, half-grown and full-grown. She’s sung in multiple choral groups ranging in size from Mennonite Memorial Mass Choir to a local sixteen-voice group called Heart Cry Ensemble. As a composer, she's still not sure if she'd rather write campfire songs or choral works. She is most excited when she hears that the song speaks to both the giver and the receiver, giving both a little more courage to find the way home.
